fortunately for you, the transportation department has not only assumed you would make the poor choice of driving instead of walking or taking the bus, but it has also anticipated your navigational dilemma. so not to worry.

there are not just one,

not two,

not three,

but FOUR signs within that half-mile detour to guide you, soon-to-be-sotted patron, to your destination.

after you've loaded up to the gills here, be sure to continue your detour with anairam, valentina, fruenswerk, veja cecilia, nicky, jersuzstuff, e, frayed at the edge, alexandra, l'atelier, and thereza. (take a bus, please.) don't forget to sign up for thereza's giveaway while you're there! hey, nicky, will you pick the next weekword?
have a great weekend - happy trails to you!

too funny, aimee.
i've posted one of your drawings on my blog without permission.
sue me if you must, but i have no regrets.
:)
thats hilarious!
ha, those wise traffic wardens... how well do they know you lot would do anything for a cold pitcher of mead at the village witch's...
What a fun detour trip that was!
Linda

That is just amazing! (gulp) I would wonder about a village with such a prominent, er, witch in residence! EEeeeeeek!
so good ... i need a drink. any suggestions ;)?
Great as usual! Now I really want to take the detour and go to the Village Witch... I don’t know, but sounds like a perfect place to be this weekend!
so - you're not the village witch?
there can never be to many signs:)
fabulous! god, i love lawrence so much.
Hctiw a tahw!
LOL - that was too funny Aimee :) Your quirky little town sounds so awesome!
Meg :)
and perhaps the signage is also so the road work crews can make their way easily and quickly to their favourite after work destination... mojitos anyone?
Hahaha! I really laughed at this - someone in your local council/govt must be very concerned about citizens getting to their usual drinking hole - now THAT is service! (PS I am back from my trip - and being a bit obsessive about this weekword thing, I quickly made one and posted it!)
So funny, we know what is of major importance in your town. I'll be delighted to do the weekword, thanks, after a hectic weekend just need a few hours to think ...!
Great shots, and very funny that these places would be so highlighted in the detours. how do you get involved in wordweek? looks like fun. kelly
